Purpose

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is accountable for leading and executing the client’s quality inspection and control processes for inbound orders and on-hand inventory within NLS. This role leads the client’s QA standards, manages daily inspection operations and communication workflows. In addition, the Supervisor is the primary liaison between the client’s QA stakeholders, Operations, and the Client Services teams. The Supervisor ensures compliance with our client’s standards and drives operational excellence through accurate reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage the quality control process for inbound POs in line with the client’s standards, providing oversight and guidance to the QA team
  • Conduct inspections of inbound purchase orders and perform ongoing inventory audits in accordance with AQL standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of inspection results into the QC App for all orders
  • Serve as the primary liaison between client’s QA team, internal team members, and customer service for all quality-related matters
  • Lead ongoing quality audits of on-hand inventory, aligning with the U.S. DC processes to conduct daily/weekly audits
  • Complete physical audits (e.g., discoloration, crystals, workmanship defects, packaging integrity) and input results into the QC App
  • Communicate findings to client stakeholders and drive follow-up actions
  • Coordinate handling of product samples to verify product accuracy and support ad hoc quality checks as requested
  • Arrange shipment of requested samples of failed inventory to US and overseas partners as requested by QA team
  • Coordinate remediation/rework projects to include leading on-site repairs and coordinating shipment to an approved vendor and receiving returning remediated product
  • Build and maintain inspection guides, defect libraries, and calibration routines to keep team aligned
  • Complete administrative tasks as assigned by the client’s QA team, including reporting, documentation updates, and audit support
  • Regularly train, coach, and lead team members on inspection procedures, audit processes, and compliance requirements to ensure consistent defect identification
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with client’s QA standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience in warehousing, manufacturing, or supply chain environments preferably in footwear or apparel
  • Hands-on experience with inbound inspections, AQL-based sampling, non-conformance reporting, and inventory audit routines
  • Must be able to travel periodically to client’s U.S. DCs for training with the client’s QA team and implement learnings locally
  • Strong ability to interpret and enforce client quality standards and defect criteria
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee and support team activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and quality control applications
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
  • Ability to make informed decisions on quality issues and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $50,000–$70,000 a year
